System Administrator

A System Administrator is responsible for deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise software platforms and related components, across Linux, Windows, containerized, and cloud environments. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and availability of all IT resources to support business operations.

Install, configure, and maintain Scheer PAS platform components in development, test, and production environments.
Manage and monitor Linux and Windows servers, Docker containers, Kubernetes, and supporting infrastructure hosting Scheer PAS services.
Perform deployment, upgrade, patching, and configuration activities for Scheer PAS platform components in accordance with approved procedures.
Monitor system health, performance, capacity utilization, and availability of Scheer PAS environments and supporting services.
Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, including application startup failures, connectivity problems, certificate issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Manage user access, credentials, certificates, and security configurations in accordance with organizational security policies.
Coordinate with client infrastructure teams to establish and maintain network connectivity, firewall rules, DNS entries, load balancers, and SSL/TLS configurations required by Scheer PAS.
Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities for Scheer PAS components, databases, configurations, and associated data.
Analyze application, container, and system logs to identify issues and support root cause analysis activities.
Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of related technologies, including databases, reverse proxies, API gateways, monitoring tools, and integration components.
Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, configuration records, and environment inventories.
Participate in system testing, deployment validation, and production readiness activities.
Coordinate with application developers, solution architects, vendors, and client technical teams to ensure stable and secure operation of the platform.
Ensure compliance with established operational standards, security policies, and change management processes.
Provide operational support during maintenance activities, incident resolution, and scheduled production deployments.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in systems administration.

This role requires strong hands-on experience in Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, networking, cloud infrastructure, database installation and administration, high-availability environments, and production support.
